- Add water and let boil
- Wash 1 cup of rice and add it to the boiled water
- Strain the rice once cooked
- In a pan add 1tbsp of oil and saute onion adding ½tsp sugar and salt
- Saute untill dark in colour. here the barista is ready. Allow it to cool
- In a kadai or vessel add in 2tbsp of ghee
- Add in 1onion and ginger garlic paste and tomato
- Then add in the marinated chicken and mix well
- Add in ½ cup of water
- Cook it covering with a lid
- Once the chicken is cooked, let the gravy thicken
- Cut potato into pieces, 1inch each and deep fry and spinkle salt once fried
- Layer the rice on the gravy adding fried potatoes, chopped coriander and birista
- Serve with curd raita or salad
