- Get 1/2 tsp garam masala or you can add cloves, star cinnamon bay leaves, cardamom full masala
- Use 1/2 coconut grated,grinded and squeeze coconut milk
- Get 1 onion chopped
- Use 2 tbsp Oil
- Use 1/4 tsp Mustard seeds
- Take as needed Coriander leaves chopped for garnish
- Provide 1 tsp Ginger garlic chopped
Steps to make Idiyappam with stew:
- Heat oil in a pan add mustard seeds when crackle add ginger garlic chopped 1 tsp sauté for a minute
- Add chopped onion and green chilli, curry leaves sauté for a little add all veggies one by one and roast for 2 minutes
- On the other side grated coconut put in the grinder jar and grindwell with 1/2 cup of water
- Now with the help of strainer squeeze the milk and keep it aside now again left the coconut and add 1/2 cup of water again grind and separate the thin milk
- First milk is thick add second milk in the veggies and cook till tender add salt and garam masala
- Now slow the flame add first coconut milk donot boil it just warm and switch off the flame add inch of cardamom powder
- Garnish with coriander leaves
- Idiyappam I used readymade and only steam it and serve with stew
