  2. You need as needed Neem flowers/ Bevu/Vepam poo
  3. Use 3-4 green chillies
  4. Prepare small lemon size tamarind(soaked in water)
  5. You need As needed Jaggery
  6. Provide 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  7. Prepare Pinch Hing
  8. Get Few curry leaves
  9. Take 2 tsp Sambhar masala
  10. Take Salt as per taste
  11. Get For seasoning
  12. Prepare as needed Oil
  13. Use 1 teaspoon Mustard seeds
Steps to make MaavinkayiBevinahoo Gojju:
  1. Finely grate raw mango.In a kadai pour 2 to 4 tsp oil.Once oil is hot add mustard seeds.After it splutters add curry leaves,hing, turmeric powder and green chillies.
  2. Next add grated raw mango. On medium to low flame fry the raw mango.After it gets little cooked add the tamarind pulp extract from soaked tamarind.
  3. Here the mango i have used was not so sour so I added little tamarind pulp.If mango is very sour then you skip tamarind pulp.
  4. Now add a cup or little more water to it.Add salt,2 tsp sambar powder and allow it to boil.
  5. Add required jaggery as per your taste.Here I have added a big lemon sized piece of jaggery. Crush jaggery and mix well.
  6. Meantime in a small pan add a tsp of oil and add neem flowers to it.In very low flame fry it till it turns brown.In last picture you can see the colour of neem flowers.
  7. Now add this neem flowers to the kadai where the raw mango mixture is boiling.Mix well and off the stove.Remove the gojju and transfer it to another vessel.
  8. Delicious Ugadhi special maavinkayi and neem flower gojju is ready to serve. Serve it with hot rice.
