There’s hope. Kids need some additional encouragement and guidance alongside some of the strategies your kid is guaranteed to eat healthy.

Make a gatekeeper.

It’s likely the simplest way to get your kids to eat healthy is to eliminate the less-healthy alternatives. Take control over what meals and snack choices are in your dwelling. If a child is hungry they will eat it whenever there isn’t an alternative. Perhaps you have heard of a kid starving to death since his parents wouldn’t feed him potato chips?

Maintain healthy food in sight.

As for those less-than-good-for-you foods, maintain them in high cabinets and from your child’s reach. Arrange your fridge and cabinets so that healthy foods are the primary foods you see. If you decide to have some unhealthy options in the house keep them out of sight and you and your children will be not as inclined to select them as an option.

Make healthy meals convenient.

Wholesome foods, especially fruits and vegetables require little preparation that’s great for your’starving' child and you. Take a fruit jar at eye level on the counter whatsoever times or have a container with carrots and celery sticks prepared to go from the fridge. You might not be aware of how many more fruits and vegetables that your child will consume simply by using them visible and easy to catch.

Make learning about food fun.

Teach household meals together, have your kid mix the ingredients and serve the food to the rest of the family. Plant a vegetable garden as a family project and put your child in charge of watering and picking the ripe vegetables. Children that are involved are more likely to be a willing player in the eating process.

Keep an eye on Portion sizes.

Parents often stress how much their kids should be eating. Whether you are attempting to find a selective eater to have a bite of anything green or limit the amount of dessert that your sweet-toothed kid needs watching portions is necessary. Knowing the size of a healthy part will give you some essential perspective.
