- Take 1 onion

- Roughly chop onion, garlic, ginger & green chillies and grind it into a coarse paste. Also, grind peas into the coarse paste without adding water.
- Now heat oil, saute potatoes till they are golden. Then remove it on the kitchen paper towel-lined plate.
- Now in the same pan and oil add bay leaf, cloves and cumin seeds, once they splutter, add onion paste and saute till it leaves oil.
- Add tomatoes and saute till it becomes mushy. Then add spices and mix well, cook for few seconds.
- Now it's time to add peas coarse paste, mix well and saute for couple of minutes. Add coriander, save some for garnish.
- Add 2 cups of water and salt to taste. Once it starts boiling, turn the flame on slow, cover the pan and let it cool. It will take about 10 minutes to cook peas. Stir once or twice in between. If needed, add water.
- When peas are cooked, the oil will starts floating on the top, now add potatoes and garam masala, mix well,cook for couple of minutes then turn off the flame and garnish with coriander.
- Serve hot with chapatis or rice.
