Steps to make Aloo Bonda Tarts:
  1. In a frying pan add 2 tbsp oil. Add mustard seeds and cumin seeds and let it splutter. Add chopped onion, green chilli, ginger, coriander leaves, curry leaves and stir for 2 mins.
  2. Add garam masala powder, coriander powder, asafodita, cumin powder and saute for a min.
  3. Add the cooked mashed potato, season with salt and mix well. Stir well and incorporate them nicely and saute for 3-5 mins. Take off the heat and let the mixture cool down.
  4. Take small portion of the mixture and roll them into balls with the help of your palms.
  5. In a deep frying pan add oil for deep frying. When the oil is smoking hot, summer the flame. Now dip the rolled balls into the batter and drop gently into the oil in batches.
  6. Deep fry them in medium heat till golden and crisp. Remove and drain them in absorbent paper.
  7. For making the tart, cut off the sides of the bread. Roll them nicely with a help of rolling pin. Insert them in the tart mould.
  8. Bake in preheated oven for 5-7 mins until it is slightly brown.
  9. Remove the tart from the mould. Place the aloo bonda on it. Serve them with green chutney, fried chillies, onion rings and fried curry leaves.
