- Prepare 1/2 kg Dehradun rice

- Step 1-Marinate chicken with ginger garlic paste, salt, red chilli powder, curd. Keep it aside for half and hour.
- Step 2- now turn the flame on.. Take a pan add some oil and onion, fry the onion until it is light brown then add those marinated chicken and a pinch of garam masala fry this for 5 minutes and cover the pan for next 5-10 mins.
- Step 3-take a pan add some oil,(you can also try ganesh ghee) fry the potatoes with some salt, red chilli powder a drop of Essence, and a pinch of food colour. now cover the pan and lower the flame for 5-10 mins.
- Step 4- now take a pan add some water and khara garam masala (bay leaves, cardamom, cloves) and salt to taste boil the rice and keep it aside
- Step 5 - take another pan add cooked potatoes, cooked chicken, pinch of garam masala, fried onion, 1 spoon curd, then add rice and a cup of milk with essence and food colour mixed with it
- Step 6- cover the pan nicely.. Put it on high flame for 10 mins. Lower the flame for next 10 mins. Then turn off the flame. Your biryani is ready.
